Quarter Finals- Badminton Men's Singles

Today was the beginning of the Badminton Men's Singles Quarter Finals. And Oh what a beginning...!!!!

Clash of the Titans was on the cards and all of us were there were swaying with"Josh" along with the shuttle.

The first match was between Naveen Lalam (FP&A Licence) and Sarawut Pathomphatthaphan (Accounts Payable-Apac). The match was of 3 sets with Sarawut taking the first set 15-13. Naveen came back to win the second set 13-15. The stamina seeping out of the players they fought the last set with Naveen leading till 10-14. Then it happened, in a rush of energy Sarawut fought the battle and finished it 16-14.

Beautiful game and Players par excellence!!! And this is just the beginning. Congratulations Sarawut. You are into the Semifinals. Naveen you played well too..and we wish that you get even next year....

The second match was between Manish Chiranjiv (Sales Compensation) and Shyam S Raju (OA).

Shyam who had earlier lost out to Sarawut (by a close margin) was chosen as a lucky loser to play the Quarter Finals. But Manish, whose has attained much finnesse in the game of Badminton defeated Shyam and won the game in two straight sets. Score - 15-7, 15-7.
