2005 - GFIC Olympians Speak!!!

Mriganka Gupta - Opponent to reckon with in TT

It was a good opportunity for me to play after many years. Even though I am getting old it was fun to play with the young crowd. Last year I won a couple of matches but lost a great game with Harsh. I take my game very seriously. This time around my target is to reach the quarter finals or even the finals.

Let's have a good time this Olympix!!! Best of Luck to all!!

Mriganka.

Kaushik Sarkar - Captain of the winning cricket team

Hello all,

It's great to know that GFIC is gearing up for yet another fun filled session of Olympix. Although i am not a part of GFIC anymore i shall be there in spirit :)
We had won the cricket series last year. An exhilarating experience I shall miss this year around. I wish the best to all GFICians and hope all have a good time playing as hard as you work!!!!

Happy sporting!!
Kaushik

Lakshmi Sethuram- Runner up @ Ladies Table Tennis championship

Firstly am very proud to be the first runners up in the TT tournament which took place last year in GFIC.The match was really tough and challenging against Aurora . I lost to her by just 1 point. I am looking forward to be a winner this time and take away the first prize.

Best wishes
Lakshmi

Manish Chiranjiv- Winner of Singles TT & Badminton and Runner up at the Doubles Badminton

The Table Tennis win was memorable because it was my first Table tennis tournament of any kind...I played against Deepak who is a great player. The Badminton Final was much tougher as my opponent was not only good and experienced player but he was also(still is) my Manager.

Over all it was a great experience I met a lot of people, who are now good friends, through the tournament and as I had joined recently at the time it went a long way in making me feel at home in the organisation. I am looking forward to a bigger and better Finance Olympix this year and hope more people will participate...and it doesn't rain on the final day.

Bring it on!!!!

Manish.
Deepak Raj - runner-up at men's singles TT.
I have my eyes set firmly on the winner's cup this year. I have been practicing Weekly thrice, honing my skills at the TT table.
Challenge me!!!!
Deepak.
Sriram Kalyanaraman- Winner of the men's singles Badminton event.
I didnt play at all after last year's tournament, I need to start practice sessions at Reliance club. Last time was relatively easy, now we have to gauge the new entrants...we will put in our best efforts.
Sriram.
